The renders and specifications of the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro, Samsung’s most durable smartphone, have been revealed
Samsung’s unannounced Galaxy XCover 6 Pro has once again revealed itself to the world. This time, thanks to a report from @OnLeaks and GizNext, we get a closer look at the rumored specs of the said device. The Galaxy X Cover 6 Pro is not the most stylish model of the Samsung Galaxy series, but its special design makes it resistant to accidental drops or strong impacts. As a result, this time Samsung has sacrificed beauty for resistance.
According to xda-developers, the dimensions of the Galaxy X Cover 6 Pro are 160 x 80 x 10 mm and its weight is 235 grams. Also, this product has a textured appearance. The new Samsung phone will have a 6.6-inch TFT LCD screen with FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2408 pixels).
Since the purpose of this device is not to provide extraordinary specifications, the XCover 6 Pro will be equipped with a display with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Also, this smartphone should come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G chip, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage.
On the right side of the device, there are physical buttons for volume, power, and the XCover key. This button was seen in the previous model and it can be set to run a specific application or call the desired feature. The top of the host phone will have a 3.5 mm headphone jack along with another red physical key. At this time, the function of the red button is unknown, although it is speculated to provide one-touch access to the phone’s digital assistant.
- Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 are likely to have a thinner hinge for better integration
Furthermore, the Galaxy X Cover 6 Pro will have a 50″ main camera. It uses a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 6-megapixel wide-angle lens. Finally, it should be said that the mentioned device is powered by a 4050 mAh battery and uses Android 12. While the above specs aren’t that impressive, what’s perhaps most important is the phone’s durability, which can withstand shock, dust, and even liquids.
Unfortunately, it’s still unclear when this product will hit the market, so If you’re looking for a rugged device now, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro, which has a similar design with slightly different specs.
