The Galaxy Fold Lite is likely to be introduced as a member of the Galaxy A family
In 2020 and 2021, there were rumors about the possibility of Galaxy Fold Lite; But after a while, we heard nothing. Now, after a long time, new information about this device has been revealed.
Reporting by PhoneArena, a Twitter leaker with the ID @chunvn8888 said in his latest post that Samsung might be working on a low-cost foldable phone that will be introduced as part of the mid-range Galaxy A series. He did not mention any other details about this phone; Because the mentioned device is probably still in the early stages of production.
Previously, information about the Galaxy Z Fold Lite was revealed, among which we can point to a 7-inch main display and a 4-inch external display. Both are smaller than the dimensions of the screens used in the Fold 3 (7.6 and 4 inches, respectively). Also, there were talks that the mentioned phone will not have the ultra-thin glass layer found in Samsung’s flagship flip and fold series and this device will be made of aluminum and glass.
This smartphone was expected to be powered by a Snapdragon chip. 865 Qualcomm and have 256 GB of storage memory and will be launched at a price between 900 and 1100 dollars. Considering that a lot of time has passed since the disclosure of this information, they can no longer be trusted; But if we analyze them, we come to the conclusion that the foldable Galaxy A will probably benefit from a mid-range chip and no more powerful and expensive processors. Also, the said device is likely to be cheaper than what previous reports have suggested.

When rumors about the Fold Lite were spreading, the Z Flip was selling for $1,380. The Flip 3 also costs $1,000, and since the Fold Lite will be a budget model, it’s probably cheaper. This cheaper price can make the mentioned device a tough competitor for similar products.
