Motorola Moto G42 with Snapdragon 680 chip listed on Geekbench
A few days ago, Motorola’s upcoming smartphone called Moto G42 was spotted on several certification websites with model number XT2233. The listings revealed few details about the phone. Additionally, renders of the said phone revealed its design details. Now to the report Gizmochina, the phone has appeared on Geekbench and shows the chip type.
According to Geekbench, the upcoming Motorola Moto G42 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 chip. As a reminder, this is the same chip that powers the Moto G52 hardware.
Apart from the chip, the listing on the benchmark platform says that the phone will be powered by Android 12 is running. According to a listing on Lenovo’s website, the Moto G42 is codenamed HawaiiPlusOLED22. This code shows that the phone’s screen will probably be OLED like the Moto G52; But it is not clear whether this panel supports a high refresh rate or not.

In addition to the renders, the certifications have revealed features such as dual-band WiFi, NFC and 4G connectivity. The appearance of this phone will be almost similar to the Moto G52, and on the back panel it will have a vertical triple camera and a punch-hole screen to host the selfie camera. According to the mentioned details, the Moto G42 may be slightly different from the Moto G52. and will probably be cheaper. Motorola is expected to introduce this phone in the coming days.
