Introducing Y5p, Y6p and MatePad T8 – Huawei’s latest budget devices

News unit Just a few hours after the news leak that Production of two new Huawei phones, this Chinese company is officially in space Away from the hype, he unveiled his two new smartphones. These two phones Huawei Y6p and named Y5p and Currently, they are currently available in the Romanian market. Both devices are in the low end of the market and you can’t expect very high specifications from them. Of course, the Y6p is superior to the Y5p in several ways and has higher specifications. Besides these two phones, Huawei has released a low-end tablet called MatePad T8 also unveiled, which this device is currently dedicated to the Romanian market. In the following, we will learn more about these 3 products.

Huawei Y6p

This phone is designed in dimensions of 9.04 x 74.06 x 159.07 mm and weighs 185 grams. Its 6.3-inch screen is TFT LCD and its resolution is HD+ (equal to 720 x 1600 pixels). Responsibility for processing in Y6p 8-core chipset

On the back of the device, three cameras are stacked vertically. The main camera is 13 megapixels and it is accompanied by a 5 megapixel wide camera and a 2 megapixel depth camera. The front camera is also 8 megapixels and is located in the water drop notch above the screen. The powerful 5,000 mAh battery is one of the Y6p’s strong points, but the disappointing thing is that it charges via the old microUSB port. The fingerprint sensor is also installed on the back of the device.

Huawei Y6p It is a dual SIM phone with 4G communication technology and uses Bluetooth version 5.0 and headphone jack. The operating system of the phone is Android 10 and its user interface is called EMUI 10.1. According to Huawei ban by Google, this phone does not have GMS (Google mobile services) From the collection HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) is used. The Huawei Y6p smartphone is produced in black, green and purple colors and it is going to be released to the market of this country at the price of 799 Romanian leu, which is almost equal to 165 euros at the current exchange rate. Of course, people who buy this product with a pre-order will get a discount of 200 Leo (40 euros).

Huawei Y5p

This phone compared to Y6p has lower specifications. Dimensions Y5p equal to 8.35 146.5 x 70.94 mm and its weight is 144 grams. Unlike the above model, the margins of the display in Y5p are large and there is no notch. The screen of this phone has a diameter of 5.45 inches and consists of TFT LCD panels. The resolution of this screen is HD+ (equal to 1440 x 720 pixels) and apparently the aspect ratio is 18:9. Like the Y6p, the Helio P22 chip is also used here, but the amount of RAM and internal storage has dropped to 2GB and 32GB, respectively. Of course, it is still possible to upgrade the internal memory (via microSD) up to 512 GB.

Camera in Y5p has a drastic drop and the manufacturer has settled for only an 8-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. But the strange thing is the square-shaped design of the camera module on the back of the device, which at first glance gives the impression that 3 cameras are embedded in this module. The battery capacity of the phone has also been reduced to 3,020 mAh and like the previous model, it is charged through the microUSB port. Apparently, we have to consider the fingerprint sensor as one of the absent features of this phone. Like the Y6p, here we are facing the Android 10 operating system along with the EMUI 10.1 skin. This dual-SIM phone will be available in black, blue and mint green colors at a price of 599 Romanian lei (125 euros). A 40 euro discount is available for pre-orders.

MatePad T8

Huawei recently decided to change the name of the MediaPad series tablets to MatePad. Looking for the release of MatePad Pro 5G and then MatePad 10.4, now it’s time for the third tablet, MatePad T8 will be launched by Huawei in 2020. It is interesting that each of these tablets has a different level; The MatePad Pro 5G was a flagship tablet and the MatePad 10.4 was considered a mid-range tablet. Now, with the launch of the entry-level MatePad T8, the lineup is logically complete.

Display MatePad T8 has a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels and its 8-inch LCD panel covers 80% of the tablet body. The 8-core and little-known Mediatek MTK8768 chip is used in this tablet, which is supported by 2 GB of RAM and 16 or 32 GB of expandable internal memory.

The main camera of 5 megapixels and the selfie camera of 2 megapixels are not what you can expect much from them. But the 5,100 mAh battery is a good option for this tablet and will be responsible for 12 hours of video playback or 12 hours of continuous Internet use, according to the manufacturer. The operating system of this device, Android 10 and its internal menu is based on a dedicated user interface Huawei means EMUI 10.0.1 is developed. Like the previous two phones, there is no sign of Google mobile services here. The MatePad T8 tablet is produced only in blue color and is priced at 500 Romanian leu (104 euros).

At the end, it should be noted that the exact date of the release of these devices has not been announced by the manufacturer. There is still no information about the supply of these 3 products outside the Romanian market.
