Introducing the Motorola Edge 30 Pro – Motorola’s new flagship

News unit EMGblog.com: It was in 2020 that Motorola with Motorola Edge and Edge Plus Returned to the market of flagship smartphones. Motorola launched Motorola Edge (2021) in August last year. Updated this series. This American company (whose mobile division is owned by Lenovo) on Thursday, February 24, 2022 (5 Esfand 1400) from the release of its latest flagship named Motorola Edge 30 Pro informed. This new device is largely similar to Motorola Edge X30 which was launched in December Launched last year, it’s similar, but with a few minor tweaks, including a smaller battery and cleaner Android. It should be noted that the new Motorola Edge 30 Pro smartphone will enter the US market under the name Motorola Edge Plus 2022.

Although the frame of the phone is made of polycarbonate, on the front and back of the device, Gorilla Glass resistant glass is used (Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and Gorilla Glass 5 on the back). Motorola Edge 30 Pro in dimensions 8.79×75.95× It is designed 163.06 mm and weighs 196 grams. The IP52 degree of protection protects this device from splashing water drops or light rain, but Motorola warns against submerging this product in water and notes that the same amount of resistance will decrease over time. This is despite the fact that many flagships with the same price as this device are more resistant to water (IP68).

The display of this phone – with the Max Vision brand – from panels with POLED technology it was made. This screen has a diameter of 6.7 inches and its resolution is FHD+ (equivalent to 1080 x 2400 pixels). The display makes up 88.5% of the body surface and with the approval from SGS, it can filter blue light to a great extent. The display refresh rate is 144Hz and the touch sampling rate is 360Hz. HDR10+ support and DC-Dimming technology are among the other features of this display.

4nm chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is the ruler of this phone. This chipset is the latest and most powerful Qualcomm processor, and according to Motorola, its CPU power has increased by 20% and GPU speed by 30% compared to the previous generation. Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 from a 3 GHz core Cortex-X2, 2.5GHz tri-core Cortex-A710 and 1.8 GHz quad-core

The optics department behind the device has three members; The main camera is 50 megapixels and the lens aperture is f/1.8. The size of each pixel in this camera is equal to 1 micron, which according to the Quad Pixel technology, by combining all 4 pixels in 1 pixel, the size of each increases to 2 microns. Features of this camera include phase detection autofocus, optical image stabilization, and audio zoom (audio zoom is activated when the image zoom is at least 2x). Other features of the main camera include night mode, artificial intelligence stickers, professional mode, macro photography, portrait mode, simultaneous capture with the front and back cameras (Dual Capture), highlight a color in the photo (Spot Color), time-lapse and mode panorama Not to mention, the main camera can shoot videos in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. Slow motion video recording with FHD resolution is also done at a maximum speed of 240 frames per second.

Next to the main camera, a 50 megapixel ultrawide camera (with an aperture of f/2.2 and a field of view of 114 degree) comes with the help of this collection. Here, the Quad Pixel technology increases the size of each pixel from 0.64 microns to 1.28 microns. This camera apparently has automatic focus and can be used to take macro photos (from a very close distance). The third member of the collection is a 2-megapixel depth camera with f/2.4 aperture. Not to mention, a powerful selfie camera – with a resolution of 60 megapixels and an aperture of f/2.2 – is also embedded in the central hole above the display. There’s no doubt that the 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and 60-megapixel selfie camera fulfill the usual expectation of a flagship, but we must not forget that most flagships of the same price as the Motorola Edge 30 Pro (such as Galaxy S22 or iPhone 13 Pro), in addition to ultrawide and depth cameras, they also have a telephoto lens (for better zoom).

A battery with a capacity of 4,800 mAh provides the energy needed by Motorola Edge 30 Pro. The battery life in normal use is 32.6 hours, so it is expected to last at least two days. One of the strengths of this battery is the 68-watt charging standard (known as TurboPower). It is interesting to know, the possibility of wireless charging (with a power of 15 watts) is also provided. The most interesting thing is that due to the support for reverse wireless charging, you can use the Motorola Edge 30 Pro as a power bank and charge the battery of other devices (if they support wireless charging) simply by placing them on the new phone Motorola, charge with 5W power. Motorola is apparently offering this phone in the US market with a weaker 30W charger.Motorola Edge 30 Pro operating system Android 12 and Motorola’s exclusive skin (ie My UX) is also active in it (of course, this skin has not made significant changes to the main operating system and we can expect an experience close to pure Android from it). One of the useful features of My UX is a feature called Ready For, which allows you to simulate a desktop environment similar to Windows in Android by connecting the phone to an external monitor (something like Samsung DeX in Galaxy phones). Also, Motorola has ensured the security of the phone against malware, phishing and other cyber threats with the ThinkShield for mobile security feature.

According to Motorola, the operating system Motorola Edge 30 Pro will benefit from two Android updates. In other words, if you buy this phone, you can update it to Android 13 and 14 in the future. Security updates will be available for this device for up to 3 years. Comparing this category with other competitors, it shows that Motorola is behind some brands. Samsung, for example, guarantees up to 4 Android updates and 5 years of security updates for its new flagship devices. The Pixel 6 series phones also have 3 Android updates and 5 years of security updates.

The phone’s fingerprint sensor is built on its edge, and in addition, you can unlock the phone using Face Unlock. Motorola Edge 30 Pro uses dual stereo speakers equipped with Dolby Atmos and Snapdragon Sound technology.

Motorola Edge 30 Pro is a fifth generation phone with two SIM cards (nano type). Other communication options of this device include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C port and GLONASS, GPS and Galileo routers. The new Motorola phone does not have a headphone jack, but the presence of NFC is considered one of its strengths.

Smartphone Motorola Edge 30 Pro will be available in two colors: blue (Cosmos Blue) and white (Stardust White). The unlocked version of this product will soon enter the US market with a base price of $899.99. Of course, this price is temporary and after some time, the base price will reach $1,000. Motorola will launch this product in the European market with a configuration of 12GB/256GB and a price of 799 euros. Also, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro will go on sale in India on March 4 (March 13) at a base price of Rs 49,999 (around $666 at the current exchange rate) for the 8GB/128GB variant.
