EMGblog.com: Redmi brand in the last couple of years different smartphones marketed in different categories, including the more advanced Note series and the economic family without suffixes with numerical designations; Redmi last year from this second series model Redmi 8, whose large screen, powerful battery and economical price attracted the attention of many buyers. Redmi series on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 (June 21, 2019) released a new version of this series called Redmi 9 has introduced that compared to Redmi 8 in several cases, including the dimensions and resolution of the screen, the main cameras and especially the processor have been upgraded and its battery capacity has memorized.

Redmi 9 with length and width respectively 163.32 and 77.01 mm is considered a relatively large smartphone, and its thickness of 9.1 mm is slightly less than the 9.4 mm of Redmi 8, but it is still a thick sample suitable for the working class of the device. Considering its massive battery, Redmi 9 is naturally a heavy phone and weighs 198 grams.

Redmi 9 has faced a big change in the field of screen compared to the past and while Redmi 8 was released with a 6.22-inch HD+ panel (720 x 1520 pixels), Redmi 9 has a larger 6.53-inch screen. We face Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2340 pixels). According to the manufacturer, this screen covers 89.83% of the upper part and covers 70% of the NTSC spectrum. Among the other elements worth noting about this screen are 1,500:1 contrast, 400 nits brightness and Gorilla Glass 3 glass coating. In comparison, the Redmi 8 covers 88.84% of the phone and despite the constant contrast and brightness, its glass cover is of the more advanced Gorilla Glass 5 type.

The sides and top and bottom of this screen are apparently used with narrower margins compared to Redmi 8, but the drop notch design of the upper part to accommodate the selfie camera is still in place. The selfie camera of the device is apparently unchanged and still has an 8-megapixel resolution, f/2.0 aperture, and no autofocus.

One of the important changes of Redmi 9 compared to the past lies in its rear cameras; In Redmi 8, except for the depth of field sensor, only a 12 megapixel camera was used in this section, but in Redmi 9, regardless of the 2 megapixel depth of field sensor, a 13 megapixel main camera with f/2.2, an 8 megapixel ultrawide camera with 118-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4; Among these cameras, of course, only the main camera is equipped with automatic focus, and the focus of the other two cameras is fixed. The fingerprint sensor of the device is also in the style of Redmi Note 8 Pro is located under the camera assembly and in the oval area of this part.

The biggest And perhaps the most important change Redmi 9 It happened in its processing part; where the processor Snapdragon 439 replaces Helio G80 from Mediatek company, which despite It uses the same 12 nm lithography as before, but its processing cores have changed and instead of 8 ARM Cortex-A53 cores, 2 more powerful A75 cores with a frequency of 2 GHz and 6 A55 cores with a maximum frequency of 1.8 GHz are used in it. According to Redmi, this change leads to 82% faster speed and 107% improved performance in Redmi 9 compared to Redmi 8, and its Mali-G52 MC2 graphics also offer 309% faster speed than the Adreno 505 graphics present in Snapdragon 439. Redmi has not changed the combination of the internal memory and RAM of the phone and has also offered this model with 3 or 4 GB of RAM and correspondingly with 32 or 64 GB of internal memory (eMMC 5.1 type). It has not published about the presence or absence of memory port in this phone.

One One of the strong points of Redmi 8 was its massive 5,000 mAh battery, which has not only been reduced in Redmi 9, but a few mAh have also been added to its volume; Redmi 9 comes with a large battery with a capacity of 5,020mAh, which, although it is charged by default by a 10W charger inside the box, but it also supports a faster 18W charger, the latter of which must be purchased separately.

Redmi 9 has not faced a big change in the field of communication options, and here too USB-C port, headset jack, Bluetooth version 5, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi n version, infrared port and GPS/GLONASS/BeiDou routers are used. In some distribution areas of this phone, NFC connection is also present.

Redmi 9 in three green colors , purple and black are offered to the market, and news sources have mentioned its price of 149 euros for the 3GB/32GB version and 179 euros for the 4GB/64GB version.
