Introducing realme V5 5G – the most expensive 5th generation phone to date
News unit EMGblog.com: Chinese brand Realme 2020 by introducing realme X50 5G and also its more advanced version named realme X50 Pro 5G (unveiled in February) has begun. After that, it’s time for smartphones realme X50m 5G and realme X50 Pro Player Edition arrived, which were introduced to the world of industry in April and May, respectively. Since then, we haven’t seen any other phones launched by Realme in the Chinese market. But on Monday, August 3, 2020 (August 13, 2019), the Realme brand announced the launch of a new smartphone in China called realme V5 5G. This device is the first phone from the V series and apparently it will be the cheapest 5G phone on the market right now. We will get to know more about this phone.
realme V5 5G has a body with dimensions of 9.1 x 75.02 x 162.13 mm and its weight is 194 grams. This phone is produced in three colors: blue, green and silver. In the blue and green colorways, the metal-look frame on the back of the phone is mostly glossy, except for the strip-shaped part on the left side, which is designed in a matte finish and has a small realme logo embossed on the bottom. Maybe this is the first time we see such a design in realme phones, but the brand Honor previously in the Honor device series 8X had this style of design on display. In the silver color, we are faced with a completely matte appearance in which the realme logo is much larger and almost covers the phone from top to bottom (just like the Honor 30). According to Realme’s claim, the permeability of the back cover of this phone has been doubled and its resistance to stains and wear has been improved.
The LCD display of this phone has a diameter of 6.5 inches and its resolution is FHD+ (equivalent to 1080 x 2400 pixels). The screen covers 90.7% of the body and its aspect ratio is 20:9. A layer of Gorilla Glass is placed on the screen of the phone, but the manufacturer has not mentioned its version. realme V5 5G is not specifically designed for gaming, but the 90Hz refresh rate as well as 180Hz touch sampling rate on the display can be good news for game enthusiasts and satisfy their needs to some extent. Some features of the phone chip also confirm this.
Chipset and memory
At the heart of this device is a 7nm chip.Dimensity 720 (MediaTek product) is used. This chipset consists of 8 processing cores, 2 of which correspond to the architecture of Cortex A76 processors and the other 6 cores correspond to the architecture of Cortex A55 processors, and the maximum frequency of all of them is 2 GHz. Its graphics processing unit is also Mali-G57. According to the manufacturer’s claim, the Dimensity 720 chipset has a dedicated gaming mode that, when activated, improves the display’s touch response rate by 35% and the chip’s performance by 20%. It should be noted that realme V5 5G has 6 or 8 GB of RAM memory (of LPDDR4x type) and 128 GB of internal memory (of UFS 2.1 type), which can be upgraded using microSD.
The rectangular module placed on the back of the device houses 4 cameras. The main camera has a resolution of 48 megapixels and the aperture of its 6-piece lens is f/1.8 and its field of view is 79.8 degrees. Next to this camera, there is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with f/2.3 aperture and 119-degree field of view. The set is completed with a macro camera and a depth camera (both with 2MP resolution and f/2.4 aperture). Time-lapse, bokeh effect, HDR and night mode are among the features of the camera.
According to Realme’s claim, a feature called UIS and UIS Max makes video recording with the camera of this phone as possible without shaking. 4K video recording at a speed of 30 frames per second and slow motion recording at a speed of 120 frames per second are other features of the realme V5 5G camera. In the display cavity, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with a field of view of 79.3 degrees, and the aperture of the 5-piece lens is f/2.1. The use of artificial intelligence under the title of AI Beauty as well as the panorama feature promise good selfies. Not to mention, this camera can also shoot videos at 1080p resolution and 30 frames per second.
The 5,000 mAh battery in this phone seems to be enough to provide the energy it needs. Using the 30W charger of this phone – which Realme calls SuperDart – the battery can be charged from 0 to 100% within 65 minutes. Also, the user can play music with this phone for up to 5 hours by charging the battery for only 3 minutes. According to some sources, the fast charging standard in realme V5 5G is VOOC type, and considering that this standard produces much less heat compared to other standards, even when the battery is charging, you can work with the phone in full screen brightness mode. did
Communication and operating system
The naming of the phone is such that it screams that it is the fifth generation. realme V5 5G supports the sub-6 GHz standard and will be active in both 5G networks – either autonomous (SA) or non-autonomous (NSA). In order to save battery consumption, a feature called Smart 5G is planned, which can switch the phone’s communication between 5G and LTE when needed. Realme’s new smartphone is a nano-type dual-SIM phone. Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C port, headphone jack and support for Beidou, GLONASS, GPS and Galileo navigation systems are other communication features of this phone. The fingerprint sensor is also embedded on the power button. Needless to say, the operating system of the device is Android 10 and it is equipped with the exclusive realme UI skin.
Price and time to enter the market
Pre-order registration for realme V5 5G has started in China. This phone will officially enter the Chinese market on August 7. The basic version of this phone with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory is priced at 1,499 yuan, which is approximately equal to 215 dollars at the current exchange rate. To buy the version with 8GB of RAM, you have to pay 1,899 yuan ($272). The international release of this smartphone has not yet been confirmed by the manufacturer.
