Introducing Oppo A57 5G – the latest episode of the repeated A series

News unit Late October 2021, Oppo from a smartphone called Oppo A56 5G unveiled (which is almost the same Oppo A55 5G with some minor changes). Now that more than 5 months have passed since then, we see the release of the updated version of this product. The Chinese company Oppo on Thursday, April 14, 2022 (25 April 1401) from the smartphone Oppo A57 5G unveiled. A relatively new chipset, more RAM and some other updates are among the changes this phone has over its predecessor. But with all these features and despite being equipped with the fifth generation communication network, Oppo A57 is still considered a low-end device and is not significantly different from previous models.

smart phone Oppo A57 5G looks very similar to the previous model (A56) is similar. This device is designed in dimensions of 7.99 x 75.1 x 163.8 mm and weighs 186 grams. A 6.56-inch LCD with HD+ resolution (equivalent to 720 x 1612 pixels) forms the display of this phone. This display covers 89.8% of the body surface and due to its relatively low resolution, the density is not very high (269 pixels per inch). The image on this display may not be very sharp, but at least it has a wide color spectrum with 100% sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage. The update rate and sampling rate of the touch screen is 90 Hz and the maximum point brightness is 600 nits.

Oppo A57 processing to chip Dimensity 810 deposit, which is the 6nm version of Dimensity 700 (of course, with a slight increase in the clock speed of the cores). Dimensity 810 chipset of two 2.4 GHz Cortex-A76 cores and 6 2 GHz cores Cortex-A55 and its graphic processing unit Mali-G57 MC2. According to the type of model, 6 or 8 GB of RAM (of LPDDRx type) is expected for this phone, of course, you can add another 5 GB to it in virtual form (apparently only for the 8 GB version). 128 GB of internal memory is also assigned to this device, which is in the 6 GB version of UFS 2.2 type and in the 8 GB version of UFS 2.1 type. Needless to say, this memory can be upgraded by adding microSD.

The optics department of the A57 doesn’t really impress. The rectangular module placed on the back of the device houses two cameras and two LED flashes. The main camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels and the aperture of its lens is f/2.2. This camera is equipped with automatic focus and has an 81-degree field of view. The features of this camera include night mode, portrait mode, panorama, time-lapse photography and personal photography. Next to the main camera, there is a 2-megapixel (f/2.4) depth camera. An 8-megapixel (f/2.0) selfie camera is also placed in the water drop notch on the front of the device. Both the rear and front cameras can record 1080p video at 30 frames per second. Slow-motion video recording with 720p resolution and 120 frames per second is another feature of the main camera.

A powerful battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh and equipped with a 10W charging standard provides energy for this phone. According to the manufacturer’s claim, with 100% storage of this battery, you can watch online video on Youku platform for up to 15.1 hours, make video calls with WeChat for up to 9.1 hours, and play games for up to 8.2 hours. When the battery reserve reaches 10%, by activating the super power saving mode, you can continue talking for another 3.9 hours. Add support for reverse charging (by connecting OTG cable) to battery capabilities.

A57’s fingerprint sensor is embedded on its edge, and in addition, the user will be authenticated through facial recognition. The new Oppo phone lacks NFC, but according to the manufacturer, mobile payments are possible through the same fingerprint sensor. The operating system of the phone is Android 12 And its internal menu is developed based on the exclusive user interface of ColorOS 12.1. Stereo speakers are also one of the things that the manufacturer emphasizes on; Something that was absent in the previous model (Oppo A56).

The smartphone Oppo A57 is a dual SIM phone (from Nano type) and uses fifth generation communication technology. One of the interesting communication features in this device is the presence of a secondary antenna (or gaming antenna) on the edge of the phone. Considering that when playing with the phone and holding it horizontally, its upper part (i.e. the location of the main antenna) is covered by the hand, this secondary antenna can guarantee a proper connection in such conditions. Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C port, headphone jack and support for Galileo, Beidou, GLONASS, GPS and QZSS routers are among the other communication features of this device.

Some companies claim to reassure customers whose product has successfully passed numerous tests. Here too, Opo considers the passing of the following tests as proof of the A57’s high quality: Surface drop test ( 28 thousand times), 25 kg pressure test (thousand times), power button pressing test (500 thousand times), scratch test (2,500 times) and rain test (thousand times).

smart phone Oppo A57 5G is available in blue, black and lilac colors. The sale of this smartphone in China started on April 15 (April 26), and its more expensive version (with 8 GB of RAM) has a price of 1,500 Chinese Yuan, which is approximately equal to 235 US dollars at the current exchange rate. Unfortunately, the price of the cheaper model (with 6GB of RAM) is still unknown. In the end, it should be mentioned, some rumors indicate that Realme Q5i – which will apparently be introduced next week – has many similarities with Oppo A57 in terms of hardware.
