Huawei P Smart 2021 – a series of firsts with an ancient processor!

News unit : Huawei on Monday, September 28, 2021 (October 7, 2019) from P Smart 2021 The newest member of the P Smart family This company has unveiled; This series in 2017 with P Smart was born and then with models like P Smart 2019 and recently P Smart S continued. The specifications of the members of this family have been upgraded in various cases over the past three years, but the processor has remained unchanged, and from P Smart 2019 onwards, all of them have been introduced with a 14 nm and not very powerful Kirin 710 processor. This procedure is repeated in P Smart 2021 and despite a set of new and promising tips, this phone still uses the same chipset as before.

The first New tip about P Smart 2021 belongs to its appearance and design, which has been accompanied by major changes; In the first step to enumerate these changes, it is necessary to mention the back part of the device and the design of the main cameras, which has moved away from the previous simple form and is similar to flagship phones Huawei has taken over. The four lenses of this part are located in a black oval area, and the LED flash, which was often placed under the cameras, has now been moved in front of them.

These changes have continued in the screen section and for the first time in this series, the central punchy notch has been used as a place for the selfie camera. The dimensions of the phone are 9.26 x 76.88 x 165.65 mm, which despite the appropriate length and width, seems a little too thick. This phone weighs 206 grams, which indicates the presence of a large internal battery from the very beginning.

The 6.67-inch screen of this phone is apparently considered the largest panel size in the P Smart family, despite the fact that, unlike the P Smart S, OLED technology is not used in it, but with large dimensions and small margins, 90.3% of the phone and with the presence of the notch hole in the upper central part of the screen, it will attract the attention of many buyers. The resolution of this full HD+ panel is 20:9 or 1080 x 2400 pixels, which results in a density of nearly 385 pixels per inch. The resolution of the phone’s selfie camera is 8 megapixels and its aperture is f/2.0.

In the back P Smart 2021 uses four camera lenses, apparently for the first time in this family; Of course, one of these four camera lenses does not have the ability to capture images and is only used to determine the depth of field. The main camera of this set is a 48-megapixel model with f/1.8, which looks similar to the main camera of the P Smart S. Next to this camera, we find an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with f/2.4 and a 120-degree field of view, which is apparently borrowed from the P Smart S. Finally, the third and last camera in P Smart 2021 is a 2-megapixel macro model with f/2.4, which is used for close-up photography. The fingerprint sensor in this model has been moved to the side of the phone and on the power button.

The main Achilles heel of P Smart 2021, as mentioned at the beginning, lies in the processing part of the device, which once again provides the required power from the same old 14 nm Kirin 710 processor (this time with the suffix A). In the structure of this processor, 4 2 GHz ARM Cortex-A73 cores and 4 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 cores are used, and its 4-core graphics is Mali-G51. The phone has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable internal storage (up to 512GB via microSD card).

Another noteworthy point about P Smart 2021, which is also seen for the first time in this series, belongs to the large 5,000 mAh battery of the device, which is 25% compared to the maximum battery capacity of the previous members. This family has been increased to 4,000mAh. Huawei One charge of this battery for more than 38 hours 4G call is suitable for 16 hours of online video display and 12 hours of web browsing on the LTE network, and the energy saving algorithm based on artificial intelligence is effective in its durability. In addition to upgrading the battery capacity, Huawei has not forgotten its fast charging and once again, for the first time in this series, it has released a relatively powerful 22.5 watt charger with this model.

P Smart 2021 is not placed in a very high position in the field of communication, and apart from the same SIM card connections compared to the past, it now lacks NFC and its Wi-Fi n version is considered single-band. For comparison, P Smart S uses NFC in addition to being equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi ac. Bluetooth 5.1, 3.5mm headset jack, USB-C port and GPS/GLONASS/BeiDou routers are other communication options of this phone.

P Smart 2021 in three colors, green, black and pink, with Android 10 operating system and EMUI 10.1 user interface (without Google services) was apparently released to the Austrian market at a price of 229 euros, and from October to the market of other European countries and possibly other regions will be supplied.
