, the Taiwanese media Digitimes has quoted the news of HTC’s flagship phone from Charles Huang, the general manager of the Asia-Pacific unit of the HTC Vive brand, in an event at Mobile World Congress 2022. The last flagship phone released by HTC was +HTC U12 which was launched in 2018. HTC’s new flagship phone will focus on virtual reality and augmented reality and will be deeply integrated with HTC’s proprietary open source platform Viveverse.
Although HTC sold a large part of its mobile business to Google in 2018, it continued to sell smartphones independently. Of course, the HTC phones of the last few years have generally been mid-range and low-end and have been available in a limited way in some markets.
