Honor took advantage of the opportunity at the MWC 2022 event less than a month after the unveiling of its first foldable phone and released two flagship phones Honor Magic 4 and Honor Magic 4 Pro also unveiled. Honor’s new flagships have everything we expect from a high-end phone in 2022, and in some cases, such as charging speed, they go beyond.

Both models of Honor Magic 4 series have technical specifications. High-end ones like Snapdragon 8 generation 1 chip, 50 megapixel main and ultrawide camera and 6.81-inch, 120 Hz OLED display with LTPO technology are used; But Honor Magic 4 Pro also has special features that make it different from the standard model.

Honor Magic 4 Pro is the most premium member of Honor is the new family of smartphones. This phone uses a 6.81-inch LTPO OLED screen with four curved edges, a resolution of 2848 x 1312 pixels and a density of 460 pixels per inch. The display of the device offers a variable refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, has full coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, plays HDR videos with the HDR10+ standard, and achieves a maximum brightness of 1000 nits.

On the left corner of the Honor Magic 4 Pro display, there is also a capsule-shaped notch that hosts the ultra-wide selfie camera with an unspecified sensor and a 3D depth sensor. The Chinese say that the margins around the Magic 4 Pro display are very narrow and equal to 0.93 mm.

On the back view of the phone, a large black circle can be seen, which covers a large part of the back panel. This spherical array hosts 50-megapixel wide and ultra-wide cameras (with 1.56/1.56 and 2.5/1-inch sensors), a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 3.5x periscopic zoom, a dToF laser focus sensor, and an anti-skip sensor.

Honor Magic 4 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and can be purchased with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of storage. This flagship phone uses a 4600 mAh battery to provide the energy it needs and supports Honor’s 100-watt wired and wireless charging solution called SuperCharge.

Honor says that 100 watt wired charging can charge the battery from zero to 100% in 30 minutes; While with 15 minutes of wireless charging, the battery can be charged to 50%.

Stereo speakers, 24-bit HDR stereo sound recording, a dedicated security chip, and Qualcomm’s second-generation 3D Sonic Sensor fingerprint sensor are among the other impressive features of Honor Magic 4 Pro.

Honor Magic 4 Pro uses Android 12 operating system and Magic UI 6.0 by default. This device is sold in five colors: sky blue, gold, white, and black with a glass back panel and orange color with a synthetic leather back panel. But it is still included in the category of flagship devices. This device is also equipped with a 6.81-inch screen with an LTPO OLED panel; But only its two side edges are curved and it offers a resolution of 2664 x 1224 pixels with a density of 430 pixels. On the other hand, there is no news about the depth sensor module next to the selfie camera.

The Honor Magic 4 also uses the same circular island to host the rear cameras and even has the same main and ultrawide cameras as the Pro model; But there is no mention of a 64-megapixel sensor, and the telephoto camera uses an 8-megapixel sensor with a 5x periscopic lens.

Honor Magic 4, like the Pro model, is powered by the 8th generation Snapdragon chip and can be equipped with 12 GB Ordered RAM and 512 GB of storage. This phone is equipped with a larger battery of 4800 mAh; But it supports wired charging with a maximum power of 66 watts.
