Dimension 8000 chip specification revealed
After MediaTek introduced the Dimension 9000 chip for high-end phones in 2022. Now, the details of the mid-range Dimension 8000 chip are also being heard. GizmoChina, one of the famous leakers of tech news on Weibo called DigitalChat Station has claimed that the Taiwanese are planning to release the Dimensionity chip. There are 8000. This chip, which will probably be officially introduced soon, is produced based on 5nm technology. Dimension 8000 uses four Cortex A78 cores with a working frequency of 2.75 GHz and four Cortex A55 cores with a working frequency of 2.0 GHz as CPU and uses Mali G510 MC6 processing unit as GPU.
Digital Chat Station says the Dimension 8000 chip will support FHD+ displays with a 168Hz refresh rate or QHD+ displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. Other features of this chip include support for LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage space, and 75W super-fast charging technology. According to the leaked specifications, the Dimension 8000 seems to be a smaller version of the Dimension 9000 flagship chip.

MediaTek has opened its Dimension flagship store on the popular electronic retail website JD.com. It is divided into different parts such as 9000 series, 1000 series, 900 series, 800 series, and 700 series chips.
