Samsung continues to dominate the European smartphone market; Apple and Xiaomi in the next positions
To report SamMobile, the European smartphone market fell in the first quarter of 2022, and Samsung also faced a 16% decline in market share compared to the same period last year.
However, the Korean tech giant South continues to lead other smartphone manufacturers including Apple and Xiaomi. According to Counterpoint Research, the company captured 35% of the European smartphone market in the first quarter of 2022, which is a 2% decrease compared to last year.
Apple with 25% of the market share. which increased by one percent compared to last year, placed second after Samsung, and Xiaomi’s share decreased from 19 percent to 14 percent within a year.
Quarterly smartphone sales in Europe hit lowest level since 2013
Lose Samsung’s 2% market share in the first quarter of 2022 may be due to the fact that the entire European smartphone sector is going through a tough time. According to industry observers, a total of 49 million smartphones will be sold in the first quarter of 2022. Europe sent it to its lowest quarterly level since the first quarter of 2013.
