Oppo’s collaboration with Hasselblad to provide higher quality cameras in this company’s products
Opo has entered into a three-year contract with Hasselblad, which specializes in the field of cameras. The purpose of this collaboration is to improve the mobile photography experience. If you feel like you’ve heard this news before, we should mention that last year, OnePlus made a very similar deal with Hasselblad. This happened only a few months before the merger of the two brands OnePlus and Oppo to share technology and resources, and now Hasselblad’s new collaboration with Oppo continues to expand this merger.
According to DigitalTrends, Hasselblad and Oppo will cooperate in research and development to make the cameras of Oppo phones work naturally. It will be improved by taking advantage of the Hasselblad technologies that are already used in the OnePlus 9 Pro. Oppo says it plans to improve color science in Mobile Photography but hasn’t detailed any other improvements. In addition, it is not clear what changes Hasselblad will make in terms of hardware in future Oppo products. However, a collaboration with a camera specialist is something that OnePlus has suggested and will eventually happen.
What we do know is that Oppo’s next flagship phone is the Find X4. It will probably use Hasselblad’s camera. It’s not clear if Oppo has had enough time to deliver the Hesselblad-enhanced experience on its next flagship phone. It is worth noting that these changes are not something that can be turned on or off, and are actually a change built into the camera software.
