Introducing Huawei Watch GT Runner, a sporty and light version of Watch GT 3

News unit EMGblog.com : Company Huawei on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 (Aban 26, 1400) during an event in China while introducing products such as 2 in 1 tablet, Matebook E, computer All-in-one MateStation X and Huawei VR Glass 6DoF virtual reality glasses from the new generation of this company’s smart watches, i.e. Huawei Watch GT Runner also unveiled, which should be a new sports version of Watch 3 and especially the previous Watch GT 3 of this brand. Unlike the previous models that had a classic look, Watch GT Runner has been released with a different design that focuses on younger users and runners in particular. This watch has also been very successful in reducing weight and is a completely lighter model.

The first and perhaps the most important point about Watch GT Runner belongs to the body design and appearance of the device, where apart from the new shape of the device strap, what is called “reinforced polymer fiber” is used in the construction of the watch case. A ceramic bezel and a metal crown complete this new combination. This model is offered only in a 46 mm version, and its 1.43-inch AMOLED display has not undergone any special changes and is the same as before in Watch 3 and Watch GT 3.

The main magic in the design of this model happened in its weight and while Watch 3 and Watch GT 3 in version 46 The millimeter without a strap weighed 54 and 42.6 grams, respectively, the weight of the GT Runner is only 38.5 grams, which will be very important for the main users of this watch, runners. The body of the device remains waterproof up to 5 atmospheres, i.e. up to a depth of 50 meters, and thus it will be an attractive option for swimmers.

Sensors for measuring medical and sports data as usual are also present in this watch, including the pulse measurement module TruSeen 5.0+ heart, blood oxygen measurement sensor (SpO2) and the possibility of following various sports activities through the motion sensors of the device.

Huawei has not mentioned the battery capacity of this model, but considers it suitable for two weeks of use with a single charge. Naturally, this use does not include turning on the satellite positioning system; where by doing that the battery power will decrease to 20 hours. This battery is charged as usual with a magnetic connection, and the maximum power of the charger supported by it will be 10 watts (5 volts and 2 amps). GT Runner uses 5 satellite positioning systems, which include dual-frequency solutions for more accurate positioning.

This watch does not have Wi-Fi and SIM card connections, but fortunately, apart from Bluetooth, we also find NFC in the list of communication options. This watch is equipped with a speaker and a microphone, so it can be used to answer incoming calls to the phone connected to it. Only 4 GB of internal memory is considered for this model, which is not different from Watch GT 3.

Huawei Watch GT Runner in gray and black body colors with a price of 2,188 yuan (at the current exchange rate of nearly 343 US dollars) will be on the market from November 26 (December 5) It was launched in China and there is no official news about its presence in other markets yet. From this watch, you can use HarmonyOS 2.0, Android 6 and iOS 9.0 and above.
