Introducing AirPods Pro – headphones at the price of a smartphone

News unit EMGblog.com : Company Apple on Monday, October 28, 2019 (November 6, 2018) from its new generation of wireless headphones named AirPods Pro unveiled. No event was held to introduce this product and Apple only released this news through a press release. This headphone is not going to replace AirPods become standard, but the Pro extension shows that we are dealing with a more advanced version of AirPods here. Active noise cancellation, water resistance, presence of pressure-sensitive sensors at the end and adaptability to ear size are among the most important features of Apple’s new headphones. In the following, we will learn more about the specifications and features of this headphone.

The first AirPods Pro In-ear headphones by Apple is equipped with active noise cancellation. For this purpose, two microphones are considered for each of the headphones (one inside the headphone and the other outside it). The external microphone detects the ambient noise and deals with it with an anti-noise. The built-in microphone also adjusts the noise cancellation for each ear by monitoring the sound inside the headphones, based on the amount of noise flowing in. According to some sources, even the silicone cap of the headphones is effective in eliminating noise to some extent.

It should be said, the noise cancellation system in AirPods Pro is very similar to the system used in the new Beats Solo Pro headphones, as well as the WF-1000XM3 headphones (product of Sony), which is much smaller in AirPods Pro. According to Apple, the noise cancellation system in AirPods Pro is set to 200 operations per second, and apparently the user will be completely immersed in his music, podcast or call in this mode.

Active noise cancellation is one of the great advantages of Apple’s new headphones. But sometimes we need to know what is happening around us! For this purpose, Apple has considered a mode called Transparency, which is activated by pressing and holding the pressure sensor on the bottom of AirPods Pro. In this mode, the noise canceling feature is disabled and the user can hear the sounds around him. By pressing and holding the pressure sensor again, you can return to the noise canceling mode.

AirPods Pro is resistant to sweat and water with an IPX4 degree of protection. In this way, the user can safely use these headphones while running or exercising in the gym and not worry about the damage caused by sweating. Of course, note that these headphones cannot be used in the pool.

As mentioned, at the end of the headphones, there are sensors that can be switched between noise canceling and transparency mode by pressing and holding them. Of course, this is only one of the functions of the sensors. With one press, you can play and stop music or answer a call. Press twice to skip to the next track. Press three times also, it will take you to leave the previous music.

AirPods Pro headphones use a custom audio driver along with a high dynamic range amplifier. As mentioned before, the sound is constantly monitored and adjusted by the internal microphone so that, according to Apple’s claim, it reaches the user’s ears with the best possible quality. All these processes are done by an audio processor called H1 (which was also used in the second generation of AirPods and other headphones such as Beats Powerbeats Pro and Beats Solo Pro). This chip has reduced the latency in AirPods Pro. User interaction with the headphones via voice commands to Siri is also impossible without the H1.

AirPods Pro is designed to be as smart as previous AirPods. By opening the cap of the headphone charger case in the vicinity of an iOS-equipped device, the headphones can be easily connected to the device via Bluetooth (AirPods Pro is equipped with Bluetooth version 5). By removing the headphones from the ear, the music playback is stopped, and by putting it back in the ear, the music playback resumes. Like the previous generation of AirPods, it is possible to share audio with iPhone and iPad. Also, users can connect two pairs of these headphones (or its previous generation) to an iOS device and listen to the same audio content at the same time.

But what sets AirPods Pro apart is the presence of a wireless charging case that is compatible with all Qi charging pads. This case, while charging these headphones, increases the battery life to more than 24 hours while listening to music and more than 18 hours while talking. By putting the headphones in the case for 5 minutes, you can use them for about an hour to listen to music or talk. You can use the charger pad or Lightning cable to charge the case. A Lightning to USB-C converter is also included in the product box.

AirPods Pro headphones with many different devices Apple (iPhone , iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook, Apple TV, etc.) are compatible. Of course, the minimum operating system required for the compatibility of the new headphones is as follows: iOS 13.2, iPad OS 13.2, WatchOS 6.1, TVOS 13.2 and MacOS Catalina 10.15.1. AirPods Pro headphones will be available in more than 25 countries (including the United States) from October 30 (November 8) at a price of $249.
