In any case, the core design in the QuickSilver processor will be similar to Amazon’s Graviton2. Also, the said processor has the ability to support more than 128 PCIe 4.0 communication channels. At the same time, Ampere did not mention the exact number of PCIe lanes, but mentioned that the said processor will have as many PCIe lanes as all server chips based on ARM or x86 architecture in 2020. The QuickSilver processor may surpass AMD’s Rome EPYC processor with 128 PCIe 4.0 lanes in the number of PCIe 4.0 communication lanes.
