A unique case that enables connection to the 5G network for the Huawei P50 phone
US sanctions have prevented Huawei from cooperating with international 5G technology suppliers and launching its devices with 4G technology; Even in a situation where even a number of mid-range phones are equipped with 5G modems.
A company named Soyealink has managed to find a way to bypass the sanctions. The frame produced by this company has a built-in 5G modem and adds this high-speed communication technology to smartphones. Currently, only the Huawei P50 Pro phone supports the new Soyealink frame. However, if the new solution becomes popular, Soyealink will probably produce cases for other Huawei phones as well.
Huawei P50 Pro 5G case will be released soon at a price of 800 yuan ($120).
This frame relies on eSIM technology and its 5G modem supports two types of independent (SA) and non-independent (NSA) 5G Sub-6GHz technology. The frame also has a dual-core processor with a frequency of 1.35 GHz. Of course, the Huawei phone processor is in charge of controlling everything (even the eSIM function).
If using the Soyealink frame, the network signal strength indicator will also be displayed in the phone’s status bar, and for this reason, the user will feel that the phone itself is connected to the 5G network.
Soyealink frame thickness is about 3.2 mm and its weight is 52 grams. The outer part of the frame is made of polyurethane, which has a leather-like texture. Currently, the mentioned frame is only available in light gray color.
